The following fees and limits apply to Luno accounts verified in South Africa.

Bank transfers take up to 2 business days to reflect in your ZAR wallet (sooner with Standard Bank), and there are no transaction limits if your Luno account is fully verified.

Instant deposits reflect instantly, but some banks are not supported and transactions are limited to R15,000 per deposit.

Note

If you make a cash deposit, you’ll be charged a fee of R20.00 plus 5% of the amount deposited. Cash deposits are prohibited by our Terms of Use, and any Luno account that receives more than one cash deposit may be suspended indefinitely.

Normal withdrawals will reflect in your bank account up to 2 business days after Luno processes them (sooner with Standard Bank).

Express withdrawals will arrive in your bank account on the same day, provided you withdraw between 08:00 and 15:45, Mondays to Fridays.

You can find out what verification level you’re on by going to your Profile and selecting Settings. Under Verification, you’ll see Level 1, Level 2, or Fully verified.
