In Singapore, you can instantly buy cryptocurrency with your debit or credit card, without having to deposit funds from your bank first. You’ll be directed to authenticate the transaction with your card provider via a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your mobile phone.

The Instant Buy feature is being rolled out in increments to Luno customers in Singapore. If you don’t see the instant buy option on your Luno app or web, we’re still working on bringing you this feature.
Here's how
On your Wallets screen, select the wallet of the cryptocurrency you’d like to buy

Then, select BUY
On the next screen, select the Once-off option
In the payment option screen, select Add a new card
Enter your card details, then select Add Card
You’ll be taken directly to the Enter Amount screen
Enter the amount you’d like to buy, and select NEXT
You’ll see a confirmation screen. Review the details and select CONFIRM
If you’re using the Luno app, you’ll need to enter your Luno PIN to approve the transaction
Lastly, you’ll be redirected to authenticate the transaction with your card provider via a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your mobile phone
Success! You’ve just bought cryptocurrency.

Some banks may impose a lower credit limit or decline to process cryptocurrency purchases entirely to protect cardholders from fraud, losses, and market volatility. Please contact your bank for more information.

Buying with a credit or debit card is limited to SGD 1200 per transaction and up to SGD 5,000 monthly.

Buying with a credit or debit card will incur a transaction fee of 3.5% per transaction. This fee is used to cover our card provider expenses and the basic transaction fee that Luno charges for instant buys.
You may incur an additional fee from your issuing bank depending on the credit card that you use such as a cash advance fee. If this is the case, please contact your bank to request for the fee to be waived by explaining the purpose of your transaction. Note that this is subject to your bank’s discretion/policies.
