You can connect your bank account to Luno and deposit funds into your GBP wallet instantly, with no waiting times and no deposit fees.
Here’s how
Step 1: Connect your bank account
If you haven’t connected your bank account to Luno before, follow these steps. We’ve partnered with TrueLayer to make sure you can do this quickly and securely.
On your Wallets screen, open your GBP wallet
Select DEPOSIT
When asked how you’d like to add money, choose Instant bank transfer
Select CONNECT ACCOUNT
Choose your bank by searching for it
You’ll see TrueLayer’s permission screen with more info about how it all works. Select ALLOW to continue
Next, you’ll be redirected to sign in to your bank and select which accounts you’d like to link to Luno for deposits or withdrawals
After your bank account has been linked via TrueLayer, you’ll be brought back to Luno to make your deposit.

Step 2: Deposit from your connected account
After you’ve linked your bank account, it’s time to add funds to your GBP wallet instantly.
Select ADD MONEY
You can now choose your connected bank account from the deposit options
Enter the amount you’d like to deposit, then press NEXT
On the next screen, select CONTINUE TO YOUR BANK
You’ll be taken to your banking portal to securely sign in and confirm the payment
Once that’s done, you’ll be brought back to Luno with your newly funded GBP wallet ready to buy crypto.
Frequently asked questions
There are no fees charged for making an instant deposit from your connected bank account.
If your bank isn’t included in the list of banks to choose from, it unfortunately means that instant deposits aren’t currently supported from that bank to Luno.
You’ll need to deposit from another bank if you have an account there, or you can use one of these payment methods instead:

Instant deposits are only available for bank accounts you’ve connected via TrueLayer.
You may have verified your bank account with Luno in the past using other manual methods (such as making a deposit or sharing a bank statement with our support team).
If you’ve linked your bank account through TrueLayer, you’ll see it listed as a payment option when you make your deposit.
