How do I make a deposit using SEPA bank transfer in Europe?

Once we know a little bit more about you (aka verifying your identity), it’s easy depositing money into your EUR wallet using the SEPA bank transfer method.

SEPA bank transfers might be temporarily unavailable for some customers. If you don't see the option to make a deposit via bank transfer, try buying crypto directly with your card instead. Find out how.

SEPA bank transfers are used to send payments in Euros within the Single Euro Payments Area, which means that you may have to make an international payment from your bank. Your deposit should reflect in your EUR wallet within two business days once your bank has made the transfer.


Here's how

  1. Sign in to the Luno app

  2. Select Wallets

  3. Open your EUR wallet 

  4. Select DEPOSIT

  5. Enter the amount you'd like to deposit and select NEXT

  6. Next, you’ll see a unique BX reference as well as other details displayed to make your deposit

  7. Log in to your banking app and make a deposit using the details provided. Please include your unique BX reference in the reference field provided

  8. You’ll receive an email notification once your deposit reflects in your EUR wallet
