
We may ask you for proof of payment if your deposit has not been allocated. This may be for any number of reasons, though a likely cause could be a mistake in the deposit reference number. Without the correct reference, it becomes very hard for our finance team to track your specific deposit within the thousands they have to process daily.
In order for us to track your deposit and fund it to the correct Luno wallet, you will have to upload a valid proof of payment from your bank. For your convenience, we’ve compiled a list of ways to get your proof of payment document according to the most popular banks in South Africa.

Online banking
Sign in to internet banking on your website browser
Select the Payments and transfers tab > Transaction history
Select your search method to find your payment > View
Locate the relevant payment
Select the link under the Beneficiary name & reference column
A new window will open showing your proof of payment
On the mobile app
Note
The payment notification option on the app is only available when making the payment. Once the payment is done, you won't be able to go back and share the notification. You'll have to log into your Internet banking to download the proof of payment (see above).
Once you've downloaded your detailed proof of payment, please submit it here.

Sign in to internet banking on your website browser
From the Main menu, if you've added Luno as a beneficiary, go to:
Payments > View beneficiaries > Main
Or if you made a once-off payment to Luno go to:
Payments > View once-offSelect Luno from the drop-down menu and click View
Select the checkbox for the relevant payment and download the proof of payment
Note
Please always include your BX reference number into the Bill Account Number field when making a deposit (your Luno BX reference number is obtained from your Luno account when you make a deposit)
On the mobile app
Sign in to your ABSA banking app
Go to Manage beneficiaries
Select the Luno beneficiary
Select the relevant payment
Send the proof of payment to your own personal email

Sign in to internet banking on your website browser
Select Go to payments menu > Go to payment history
Search for the payment to Luno then select View payment search results
Select the relevant payment > Resend Notification
Select via email, insert your email details to send email to yourself
Select Send proof of payment to beneficiary
A PDF of the proof of payment will be sent to you
On the mobile app
Sign in to your Capitec banking app
Select Transact > Payments
Go to and select your Luno Beneficiary
Select Payment History
Select the relevant payment
Select Resend Notification > Via email
Enter your own email > Notify

Sign in to internet banking on your website browser
Select the Payments tab at the top of your screen
Select Payments history (left of screen)
Select Send proof of payment (also left of screen)
Locate the relevant payment and click on the Recipient name to open
Once open, you can click on the download button at the bottom of the screen to save the proof of payment to a location on your PC
On the mobile app
Sign in to your FNB banking app
Select Payments > History
Select the relevant Luno payment
Select Send Proof
Enter your email address
Click Send

Sign in to internet banking on your website browser
From the Main menu go to Payments > Beneficiary Payment History
Select appropriate values from Beneficiary list > Beneficiary to display payments to Luno
Recent payments to Luno will be displayed
Download this document and make sure it clearly shows the Beneficiary statement text
On the mobile app
Sign in to your Nedbank banking app
Select Pay from the menu at the bottom
On the next screen, Your recent payments will display at the bottom
Select the Luno payment, and then Share proof of payment
Select email when asked how you'd like to share it, and enter your email address

Online banking and mobile app
Log in to internet banking on your website browser or on the mobile app
Select Everyday Account
Search for the Luno payment and then select it
Lastly, select the option to send a payment notification via email
