I'm verified in France. How do I unlock my ability to make transactions?

Does this apply to me?

Only if you’re verifying your Luno account in France.

To provide you with a Luno experience that’s tailored specifically for French customers, we’ve recently established a new business entity, Luno France.

It’s the same Luno you’re familiar with, but our Terms of Use and our account verification requirements have been updated to align with France’s financial regulators.

What does this mean for me?

As an existing, and previously verified Luno customer, you’ll be required to provide additional documents and information to re-verify your account and retain access to Luno’s products and services.

If you haven’t re-verified before the cut-off date (15 September 2022), your account will be temporarily locked and you won’t be able to transact with us.

How do I unlock my ability to make transactions?

All you have to do is reintroduce yourself to us! You’ve already received some emails from Luno support with the subject line: ‘Action required to secure your account’. (You can also find them in Notifications on your Profile screen.) These emails will provide a detailed list of documents as well as the steps you need to follow to submit them.

You can verify your identity by replying to one of those emails with all the requested documents and information.

Once that’s done, you’ll also need to make a €1 bank deposit from a French bank account in your name into our new France LHV bank account.

Note

When making your deposit, be sure to use our updated bank account details, which you will find in your Luno app when you’re ready to make a deposit.

If you have our previous banking details stored with your bank, please update those to ensure all of your future payments are made to the correct account.
