In line with our Terms of Use (‘Eligibility’ section), you may only have one Luno account.
If you’ve accidentally created a duplicate account because you can’t access your original account, you can easily recover it.

If you can’t remember the password to your original account you can easily create a new one.
Here's how
Sign in to Luno with your email address
When prompted to enter your password, select FORGOT PASSWORD
On the next screen, select CONTINUE
Enter the email address you used when you created your original Luno account
Enter the unique 4-digit PIN sent to your email address
Then, enter the 4-digit PIN sent via push notification
On the next screen, select CHANGE PASSWORD
Follow the steps from there to create a new password
Note
Remember that your new password must contain more than 8 characters, at least 1 symbol & number, and at least 1 uppercase letter.

If you need to gain access again to the Gmail address you previously used to sign up at Luno, you can do so here.

If you had two-factor authentication enabled on your original Luno account, and you’re having difficulty signing in you can regain access to your account in one of these two ways:
Disable two-factor authentication to regain access to your account
Restore two-factor authentication using your setup key
Simply follow the easy steps in this article to find out how to do both.
What happens to the duplicate account?
When you’ve regained access to your original Luno account, there are one of two things that will happen to your duplicate account (the second one you created):
If your duplicate account isn’t verified, the account will remain active, and you don’t need to do anything else
If your duplicate account is verified at Level 1, 2 or 3, our friendly support team can help with closing the account, provided that there are no funds in the account
Tip
You can check your account’s verification level by selecting Profile, Settings and then scrolling down to Verification.
