In most regions, Luno customers have the option to fund their local currency wallets by making a bank transfer or an instant deposit.
Deposits via bank transfer can take up to 2 days to reflect in your Luno wallet, while instant deposits will reflect almost straight away. Once the deposit arrives, you’ll get an email and a notification on your phone.
Note
Bank transfer deposits are not processed on weekends or public holidays.
Make sure that your unique reference number, also known as a BX reference (or in some countries, your unique deposit amount) is 100% correct before you make a deposit. Include your BX reference number for bank transfers.
We don't accept deposits from third parties, payments must be made in your own name.

The times below show how long it takes in your country for bank transfers and instant deposits to show up in your local currency wallet.
The time it takes for your deposit to reflect depends on which deposit option you use:
Bank transfer: Up to 2 business days
Instant deposit with PayID: Instant
Note
If your bank is on the New Payments Platform (NPP), bank transfers may be instant. In some cases, however, even NPP banks may have daily limits in place, and deposits above those limits will take up to 2 business days.

Debit or credit card (VISA only): Instant
SEPA bank transfer: Up to 2 business days
Deposits to your IDR wallet, via Bank transfer with Midtrans, should reflect instantly.

Bank transfer: Up to 24 hours
Instant transfer with FPX: Instant
Voucher deposits should reflect in your NGN wallet within 24 hours, usually sooner.
There are two options for depositing into your SGD wallet. They have similar allocation times:
Bank transfer: Up to 5 minutes
StraitsX: Up to 5 minutes
Note
For bank transfers, we recommend using FAST (Fast and Secure Transfer) to deposit SGD. Other transfer methods will take longer to reach your Luno account.

All sends and withdrawals may only be available 65 calendar days after your most recent deposit has cleared.
